Welcome to my blog!  MY primary objective is to alert my constituents and others in King Township about issues being reviewed at the upcoming Council meetings.  I do this as I believe the quality of Council decisions is enhanced when the public is engaged.  I hope that residents will make deputations and/or send emails to Council to express their opinion and/or to ask important questions.  Also, I include notice of meetings and events which I think are particularly important.   I welcome your comments, whether you agree or not with me, and only edit to eliminate inappropriate language.

2022 budget

On June 14th Council agenda there is a staff report recommending directions and timelines for preparation of the 2022 budget. It's recommended that the increase in tax levy will be no more then 3.2% and that staff will work to identify opportunities to reduce the increase to close to 0%. Building Permits and Fees

On the June 14th Council agenda there is a report recommending a new fee schedule for building permits and a phase in schedule for the recommended increases. Animal Services

On the June 14th council agenda there is a report recommending renewal of the contract with bond the city of Bonn for the provision of Animal Services. The report reviews the very satisfactory service king has received for issues associated with domestic animals (e.g. barking dogs causing annoyance, animal shelter, licensing of kennels) and the proposed new contract.
