Denying Sign Variance Request

Jun 2, 2023 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

On June 5 council agenda there is a Bylaw staff report recommending denial of a sign variance application submitted by the proponent for the new development called King Heights at the corner of Elizabeth Grove.  Although I can appreciate the need for advertising I think the requested signs are far beyond what is acceptable. If this development were happening in a remote location I might be more sympathetic.  The fact that the proponent was advised in advance that the application for such would not be accepted and that they persisted in that they persisted and installed them does not their case.

If you wish to make a deputation and/or provide your comments in an email you need to register (or send that email) by noon June 5 to clerks@king.ca.  To clarify, to make a deputation you need to register whether you will do in person at the Municipal Centre or by phone. .
