The Township of King has partnered with LILA to offer one lucky household a free LILA Kitchen Composter during Circular Economy Month (October 1- 31). The Lila kitchen composter allows you to turn your food scraps into high quality organic compost with minimal energy consumption. I know that many King Township residents don’t need such an appliance to make their own compost as they have a compost bin or pile in their backyard.  But that does not work for everyone particularly those who live in apartments or condos.

To enter the contest you need to complete one action as described here.  One of the actions is as simple as taking dead batteries or your old electronic gadgets & tools  which are no longer being used to the Electronic Recycling Event at Cold Creek this weekend (October 21,22) and photographing the deposit being made by you or a family member and then uploading per the instructions. But if you have no obsolete electronic goods there are other ways to enter the contest.

The draw opens October 1st and closes October 31 at noon. The winner will be randomly selected and announced on October 31st. Draw winner will be contacted through the email/phone number provided. To the enter the draw, participants must be a resident of King Township.
