A draft of the long awaited climate action plan for the community is now available. On Monday April 15 there is a Council working session where it will be presented and Council will have opportunity to ask questions. The last paragraph of the executive summary states the purpose of the plan well:
“We all have actions to take and a role to play as we combat a changing climate. We do not ask you to act alone, but work with your family,
friends, neighbours and King Township staff to move together towards a low carbon future.”
It will be coming back later in a regular Council meeting at which time public will be able to make deputations and comment; and at that point Council will consider approval. I urge you to review the plan. It is lengthy. The recommended actions begin at page 34 of 74; preceding this section there is explanations and important background and context info. If you have not been participating in any of the consultations I urge you to attend or watch the working session on Monday. And once you have reviewed the draft provide your feedback at speaKING.
Thank you for explaining the process involved in reviewing and providing feedback regarding the KCCAP Debbie.
