As I communicated earlier in a response to a question a weeka ago I am confident that we will have whistle cessation in 2023. Here is my complete esponse: There is now firm plan on part of Metrolinx and King Staff as to specific actions required to set the stage for the Township applying for whistle cessation. The first critical step is done: assessment of physical features which need to be done in order to be safe for persons crossing the tracks. This includes new gates, flashing lights, line painting on roads. Installation of these features is underway.
