Welcome to my blog! MY primary objective is to alert my constituents and others in King Township about issues being reviewed at the upcoming Council meetings. I do this as I believe the quality of Council decisions is enhanced when the public is engaged. I hope that residents will make deputations and/or send emails to Council to express their opinion and/or to ask important questions. Also, I include notice of meetings and events which I think are particularly important. I welcome your comments, whether you agree or not with me, and only edit to eliminate inappropriate language.

Fees and Charges for 2022
On Council agenda for November 15 there is a report presenting recommendations for fees and charges for the various services the municipality provides. Most fees are increasing between 1 to 2%. Some new fees are proposed by Growth Management Services for pre consultation meetings for minor and major proposals.
Draft Rural Zoning Bylaw
There is a very important agenda item on the December 6 council planning agenda: proposed zoning bylaw for the countryside of King Township which means all of the land mass of King including the hamlets and the Nobleton Village Reserve but not including the three villages of King City, Nobleton and Schomberg.
