Welcome to my blog!  MY primary objective is to alert my constituents and others in King Township about issues being reviewed at the upcoming Council meetings.  I do this as I believe the quality of Council decisions is enhanced when the public is engaged.  I hope that residents will make deputations and/or send emails to Council to express their opinion and/or to ask important questions.  Also, I include notice of meetings and events which I think are particularly important.   I welcome your comments, whether you agree or not with me, and only edit to eliminate inappropriate language.

New Public Health Restrictions

It's disappointing that new public health measures have been implemented. But, as the health and safety of our community members and our municipal staff is the priority the Township is implementing the new measures. Water & Wastewater Rates for 2022

On January 10 Council agenda there is a staff report recommending water and wastewater rates for 2022. The proposed rates will increase the average annual water bill by 3.5% for water and 3% for wastewater services. It's estimated that this will represent an annual increase of $58.57 over 2021.   I want to wish everyone a joyful holiday season.  I know that these holidays are not as open and free as we had hoped and for some there have been disappointment; but I also know that we each can find a way to celebrate.
