At the beginning of the Oct. 15 council agenda there are two presentations which I think will be of interest.
First one is about the King Township Food Bank by Geoff Simpson, President of the KTFB
Second one York Region 2025 Transit initiatives by Tamas Hertel, Manager, Service Planning Transit, Operations and Services, Public Works, York Region Transit
I sure hope that the “On Request” transit for Seniors increases the distance allowed for King Township. 5 km does not allow people from Nobleton to get to King City for their doctor or optometrist, or to visit a neighbour in the neighbouring towns of Schomberg or Nobleton. We need a longer distance allowed for our municipality. This might be good for other areas of York Region where Seniors can easily access regular bus service, but not much good for us.
Hi Nancy, I agree that current is not adequate.
