Reminder:  On November 12th there is Public Open House about the 2026 budget. This is an opportunity to review proposed budgeting for those services that matter to you most, ask questions and provide feedback to King’s Senior Leadership Team.

Budget will be presented to Council on November 24 at the Council meeting and in addition, the user fees and charges will be presented.  For more information about timelines see speaking project page. 

In my post on October 12 about the water rates I commented about the funds related to replacing the water main on Manitou being included. I erroneously indicated that this was an indicator that Manitou was going to be reconstructed in 2026. When discussing this item at Council I realized that the funds for 2026 included in the water budget is strictly for the design of the project and that the actual installation will be in the following years. Specific identification of time will require that the capital budget has the funds for the road reconstruction; this would be an item to bring up at public open house if the project is of interest to you.
