On October 14 Council agenda there is a staff report recommending the council meetings for calendar year 2026. In addition it is recommended that council closed sessions be conducted prior to the open council meetings which begin at 6:00 PM; specifically the closed sessions should begin at 5:00 PM.  As reviewed in the report Staff believe that the change streamlines the process and will enhance meeting efficiency.  I am supportive of the time adjustment as with the current schedule the closed session often occurs late in the evening.
