On December 8 Council agenda there is a staff report about the Township’s Accessibility Plan. Specifically the report presents the 2024 Accessibility Status Report and the 2026 –2030 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan.  By Council endorsing the latter the Township will meet the requirements of the legislation but more importantly there is a plan for not just meeting the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act but to exceed it. As reviewed in the report There has been significant engagement with all departments on expectations and goals. As the Council representative on the Accessibility Advisory Committee I am confident that King will continue to make progress on achieving its goal of having an inclusive and barrier free community.
