At Council on February 23rd there Is a staff report recommending All-Way Stop Control (AWSC) at 4 intersections in the Township As reviewed in the report these 4 intersections meet the applicable warrant criteria for AWSC installation; doing so is expected to improve intersection safety, enhance operational clarity for road users and better balance delays between approaches. As the report indicates these recommendations are not based on one or two incidents but rather they are based on several key data sources including mid block speed counts, turning movement volumes, collision data from 2018 to 2025 and the townships 2024 road needs study.
The 4 intersections are these:
- Graham Sideroad and Bathurst Street
- 8th Concession and 15th Sideroad
- Graham Sideroad and Pump House
- 15th Sideroad and 7th Concession
As always deputations can be made. To do so please register at clerks@king.ca by noon on February 23 or If you prefer you can e-mail your comments to clerks@king.ca and they will be distributed to Council members and appropriate staff.
