An Evening In Support of our Conservation Plans: What Are We Leaving Our Children?

Mar 19, 2014 | The Issues | 0 comments

Concerned Citizens of King Township has organized this interactive information event at the Kingbridge Centre on Jane Street in King City on Wednesday April 9th, 6:00 – 9:30 pm (reception from 6-7).

CCKT has partnered on this event with Ontario’s three major coalition environmental groups representing the interests of the three plans:  The Ontario Greenbelt Alliance (OGA), Save The Oak Ridges Moraine (STORM), and Coalition on the Niagara Escarpment (CONE).

As we are blessed in King with 70% of our land mass residing on the Oak Ridges Moraine, with the remaining 30% virtually within the Greenbelt. we value our open green spaces in King, rich forests and productive farmlands.

This event will celebrate the successes of these three critical conservation plans, and educate attendees on what’s at stake in the reviews, and how to have your say.

Ontario Environmental Commissioner Gord Miller, is guest speaker, followed by an interactive expert discussion panel.  More information is on the CCKT website.

Registration is not mandatory, but please do if possible at the CCKT website (click here).
