Thursday, February 16 7:30-9:30 PM there is public information session regarding the development west of Dufferin/south of 15th Sideroad.  Very specifically plans and options  for  a road crossing of the Eaton Hall Creek is presented.  This session is structured as a open house; information boards will be available and those involved in the project will be available for discussion.  Here is the official notice. Event is at King City Arena.

Personal note to my readers:  I regret that I am posting this so late.

Thank you for keeping residents informed of this development proposal. I attended the PIC last evening and was unpleasantly surprised when I saw that two of the seven options for the collector roads in the development showed a collector road connecting the development to Tawes Trail in the southwest corner.

At the May 2nd, 2016 Council meeting, Council resolved that the recommendations of the Planning Department Report must include the following clause: “That any future consideration of the subject application shall be on the basis that Tawes Trail Road will not be extended into the subject land.”

At the July 11th, 2016 Council meeting, residents were informed by Mr. Kitchen that York Region was retracting its request to consider a connection of Tawes Trail to Keele Street.

I fail to see why the options being considered for the collector road system continue to ignore the recommendations of King Township Council and York Region.

Hi Norm, Thank you for your comment. Good question/comment. I was not able to attend the PIC so at this stage I know no more than you. At this stage it is my guess that the engineers were “simply” showing all the possible options. And for each option they should have been showing the pros and cons of each option. I will doing some follow up on this after the Family Day weekend.
