On April 11th Council agenda there is the year end report from the Building Division. Reading this report certainly gives the data to support what has been very evident: there is a lot of building activity going on in King Township. I also want to mention the initiative that the Division has taken to explain the process for acquiring a building permit; here is their guidebook for getting through the building permit application process successfully.
Hi Debbie,
Just for fun, I was reading the “guidebook for getting through the building permit application process”. I read the section about what things do not require a building permit. One of the things that does not require a building permit is Accessory buildings. Here is what it said:
“Accessory buildings (storage sheds) not greater than 10 sq.m. (108 sq. ft.) in area. Compliance with the Township’s Zoning By-law for property line setbacks is required. Visit Plans Examination for more information”
This caused me to want to visit Plans Examination for more information. However, I could not find that title anywhere. There was a search icon and I typed in “Plans Examination” but nothing came up. Do you know where “Plans Examination” might be found? Or was this a typo?
Good question. I will find out.
Nancy…Its great that you explored the guidebook. And…its very helpful that you commented on the problen that you encountered. I forwarded you comment to Building Division; it was a typo and it has been corrected. They have asked that I pass on “thank you” to you.
