There will be a grand Canada 150 Celebration in King on Saturday, July1. Following tradition it will be held in the charming little hamlet of Kettleby. Here is poster. It starts at 4 PM with an opening by the Mississauga of Credit First Nations and ends after dark with spectacular fireworks. In between there is a variety of music, dancing and entertainment on the stage, there are guided tours of the historic hamlet, games for the younger ones including kite making & flying and much more. Bring a picnic or feast on the food offerings by Kettleby Village Association and the Lions. There are provisions for handicap parking and there will be shuttle buses. Thanks to the generosity of many corporate sponsors, the Township and Federal Government there is no entry fee. Here is link to informative article on this upcoming event.
