Candidates for Council positions (6 Councillors in King and 1 Mayor position) and 6 Trustee positions in several school boards have registered for the municipal election.  Here is the list.

Some Councillors and trustees have been acclaimed as no one registered to run against them.  3 King Councillors have been acclaimed:  David Boyd (Ward 2), Jennifer Anesty (Ward 3), Avia Eek (Ward 6). Congratulations to them.  An election campaign is very demanding in terms of energy and time; I am sure the acclaimed candidates are feeling very fortunate.

I look forward to learning about the all the candidates over the next weeks. Election day is Monday October 26 with many opportunities for voting early.
