Attend the grand re-opening of the historic King Railway Station and King Christian Church on Friday, Nov. 28 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. featuring a ceremonial ribbon cutting with remarks by dignitaries and tour of the
rejuvenated mid-19th Century buildings. Light refreshments will be available in the East Gallery of the museum, where the annual Trees of Giving exhibit can also be viewed. Both of these buildings were moved to the King Heritage & Cultural Centre in the 80’s. Now in 2025, after renovations, they both can provide valuable space for community programming or for private rentals; and importantly the heritage features of the buildings have not been eliminated. The King Christen Church was built by local Quakers in 1851 north of Kettleby. For more information about the grants which enabled the work see here.
