Summary: People in King are being asked to get outside and celebrate Earth Week by taking part in the King Community Clean-Up Day on Saturday, April 22. Participants can help pick up litter to keep King’s parks, streets, ditches and neighbourhoods clean and green. Getting involved is easy. People can select a public space they would like to clean up and invite their friends, family and neighbours to join the cleanup. Everyone who registers receives a cleanup kit that includes disposable gloves, garbage and recycling bags, safety instructions and garbage drop-off and pickup locations. Registration is available at king.ca/CommunityCleanup. Those who don’t have a cleanup location can help clean up a community park at the following locations between 10 and 11:30 a.m.: · Nobleton: Tasca Park, 49 Parkheights Trail · King City: Memorial Park, 25 Doctors Lane · Schomberg: Dufferin Marsh, 972 Doctor Kay Drive |
