Designation of 7 Church St.

On April 13 Council agenda there is a report recommending the designation of  7 Church St. Schomberg Just by its look I have always thought that it was a special building with surely a special history. Now from reading the report I read that it was built in 1860 and at one time the first bank in Schomberg  (Garrett Brown Banking House) was within it. I certainly congratulate the current property owners and those who have preceded it who have evidently been good stewards of this building.  To learn more about how this property has been evaluated to deem it worthy of designation see here.

As always deputations can be made. To do so please register at clerks@king.ca by noon on April 13 or If you prefer you can e-mail your comments to clerks@king.ca and they will be distributed to Council members and appropriate staff.
