On May 26 Council agenda there are 7 reports from Finance. I suggest you look at the council agenda to see which ones interest you; as indicated in the various reports these reports are required and once reviewed at Council they will be published on the website.
I believe that Finance makes a real effort to be transparent and very importantly to help the public understand where the Township’s revenue comes from and how it is ultimately spent. To that end I suggest tuning in for the first report which is the 2024 consolidated audited financial statements for which there will be a presentation. In addition Finance has created a paper called “2024 management discussion and analysis” which elaborates on what they have put into the report
Report 9.7 presents the 2025 final tax levy which is an increase of this 3.08% over 2024. Taxes collected are split across school board/region/ Township in a ratio of 17/ 42/40. OK
As always deputations can be made. To do so please register at clerks@king.ca by noon on May 26 or If you prefer you can e-mail your comments to clerks@king.ca and they will be distributed to Council members and appropriate staff.
