The most valuable work done by our Fire Department is fire prevention.  Wednesday, October 10 3:30-7:30 come to the King City Fire Station to learn how each of us, each family can prevent fires.  I heard from families who attended the event last year in Schomberg that tips about what can be done in the home to reduce fire risk (e.g. maintenance of the clothes dryer) were very worthwhile.  And, when they went home they developed a plan for all the family to escape a fire.
