Gun Discharge By-law–revised draft

Jan 20, 2014 | The Issues | 0 comments

A revised new by-law covering discharge of guns in King Township is on the agenda for Council January 27th. Because of significant public interest in this by-law Staff have alerted identified “interested parties” well in advance of the meeting. Also well in advance Staff have created a summary of questions posed over the last many months and provided answers. I believe it is entirely appropriate to be looking at a new by-law for this activity as we are rural municipality which is growing.

Click here to see the revised draft by-law, the summary of questions and answers and a summary of the revisions made vs the draft presented in November 2013. Complete staff report on this matter will be published when the agenda for 1/27 Council meeting is published on King’s website on Wednesday 1/22. If you have any questions after reading the material I strongly encourage you to contact Clerk Kathryn Smyth (ksmyth@king.ca) or Alex Harras (aharras@king.ca). You are also invited to attend the 1/27 Council meeting and make a deputation or simply to observe.
