Township staff have created a land acknowledgement for the Township. I am very pleased that one has been created; and I am very satisfied that such a respectful process has been used to create one. At the September 23rd council meeting Council is asked to approve it.  You can read the acknowledgement here.

As reviewed in the report staff has consulted with outside experts and very importantly with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation (MCFN).  For further information you may be interested to read the MCFN Land acknowledgement guidelines.
