On Council agenda for July 11 there is a summary of findings and recommendations from the Mayor’s Task Force on High Risk & Dangerous Offenders.  The summary of the findings, which is based on the numerous presentations made to the task force by various agencies (both government and private) is very informative.  Like most people, I suspect, I was fairly ignorant of the processes for managing those deemed to be high risk & dangerous; hence the value of reading the summary.  I applaud Mayor Pellegrini for having established the task force.  I thank Councillor Boyd for serving as Chair and the 4 appointed citizens for participating.  I endorse their recommendations.
