Looking After Structural Features

I am disappointed with a report on 2/6 Council agenda regarding the long term maintenance policy for decorative landscape features and structural elements.  I do agree with the one specific recommendation that there be a discretionary reserve for accumulating financial contributions for the long term maintenance; but I am disappointed that we have made so little progress on getting “control” of this issue.  In King City there are two good examples as to why this is an issue.  Two long established subdivisions have gateway features which are in poor condition.  There are no funds to repair/replace them; and then when private citizens want to fund the repairs they are stymied because there are not the necessary easements.
