On November 25 Council agenda there is motion by Councillor Anesty which has been seconded by Councillor Asselstine regarding establishment of an Ontario Rural Road Safety Program. Here is the motion. I am very supportive.
If you would like the Council to know your perspective about this motion you can send an email to clerks@king.ca by noon November 25 and it will be circulated to Council. And you can register with clerks@king.ca to make a deputation; you need to register by noon November 25.

I do agree that road safety on King’s rural roads should be addressed. How does passing a motion improve rural road safety please? Does it create access to funding for safety control measures? I have witnessed dangerous overtaking on both Jane & Keele where double lines in the centre of the roadway would seem top prohibit overtaking. Further, neither car drivers or cyclists seem to always be aware of the need to accommodate each others needs when sharing rural roads
