On November 10 Council agenda there is a motion by Councillor Eek and seconded by Mayor Pellegrini regarding the blue box transition. I am totally supportive of the resolution requesting a smaller cart option for recycle materials being picked up by Circular Materials Ontario effective January 1, 2026. As Councillor Eek’s motion says success of the program requires public acceptance and participation but there is concern that the 360 litre wheeled recycling cart (the only one being provided) is problematic.
