On April 11 council agenda there is a motion put forward by Councillor  Eek indicating support for federal funding for a Lake Simcoe restoration fund. I was very pleased to second this motion which indicates specifically how that fund should be used. As reviewed in the motion Lake Simcoe is a very important watershed and is under considerable threat due to,eutrofication, largely from phosphorus runoff and other contaminants.  The public is not permitted to make verbal deputations to voice support or opposition to motions but comments can be expressed by sending an email to clerks@king.ca.
