On October 27 Council agenda there are two motions, each requesting that the Province initiate robust review of the Greenbelt Plan as is required by the Greenbelt Act. Per the agenda the first motion to be considered is one from Mayor Pellegrini and the second one is from myself seconded by Councillor Anesty.   The read the motions go to the agenda page and scroll down to 10.1 for the Mayor’s and 10.2 for mine.

Background:  At the October 14 Council meeting I announced that I was withdrawing my motion and had intent to bring a new one to the following meeting which would be a better motion. What is now on the October 27 agenda is my revised better motion. The Mayor Indicated that he considered my original one to be a good one and decided that he would bring it forward as his own; this is what is on the October 27th agenda as his motion.

Deputations expressing your support or lack thereof of a motion can be made. To do so please register at clerks@king.ca by noon on  Oct. 14 or If you prefer you can e-mail your comments to clerks@king.ca and they will be distributed to Council members and appropriate staff.
