I am disappointed to report that there was no support from rest of Council to introduce a rebate program as I described in an earlier post.  Objections presented have NOT persuaded me that such is not appropriate.  Latter included:  we cannot afford it.  (Note:  annual “cost” of such is likely <$3,000) Such incentives should be achieved via an income tax credit (as is done for donations to provincial campaigns) and municipal property tax.  As I did canvass several people as to their point of view I do want to express appreciation for comments I received.  Generally people contacted thought there was merit; and everyone agreed that such should be offered only to those who have King addresses.
