I have written previously about our initiative to review and update our Official Plan. The next formal engagement with the public is Wednesday, Oct. 8th 6:30-9:00 at the Dr. William Laceby Nobleton Arena and Community Centre (15 King Old King Road, Nobleton.) 1st half hour (6:30-7:00) is open house concept; at 7 there will be formal presentation with questions & answers; around 7:30 there will be break out groups so public input can be collected and discussed. I do hope you can make it. If you want to be there but schedule doesn’t permit, send your input to
Here is the advertisement for the the meeting. To learn more about the process and to read background documents click here. And to ensure that you are kept up to date on this initiative sign up to receive emails at officialplanreview@king.ca
If you are wondering why this initiative is so important think about this:
Would you like to see more commercial business occurring on the farms in the rural part of our Township? And if you do, do you want to allow “anything” or do you want there to be some restrictions?
Would you like there to be more regulations for building projects occurring in our established communities? And if so, what specifically?
Would you like to see more protections of the natural heritage features?
