The OMB hearing on the application to create a wedding venue and children’s camp on the Oak Ridges Moraine begins Monday 11/25. At this point the logistics for the hearing is that it will run for 5 days beginning 11/25 at 10AM in the Township Council chambers.

If your schedule allows and if you share my disapproval of the proposal I strongly encourage you to attend the hearing. You are not required to say anything; in fact you cannot unless you have already registered. By attending you will be demonstrating that the citizens are very concerned about this serious challenge to the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan. In addition you will undoubtedly learn about an important aspect of the legislative processes which govern us.

As I have written earlier, King Township Council voted unanimously against the application.

Note: if you can’t spend all day, at the hearing you can drop in for a couple hours. It will likely run to 4PM.
