Welcome to my blog! MY primary objective is to alert my constituents and others in King Township about issues being reviewed at the upcoming Council meetings. I do this as I believe the quality of Council decisions is enhanced when the public is engaged. I hope that residents will make deputations and/or send emails to Council to express their opinion and/or to ask important questions. Also, I include notice of meetings and events which I think are particularly important. I welcome your comments, whether you agree or not with me, and only edit to eliminate inappropriate language.

Official Plan Review Begins!
Why should you care that a review of the Official Plan (OP) for King Township has been initiated.? It impacts directly the quality of life in a municipality and simply "what it is." I...
To Be Prepared Information Is Required

Draft Museum Strategy
A draft museum strategy was tabled at Council September 23. I am very enthusiastic about the strategy as it is not just a plan for status quo. Our Museum has gone through a significant disruption due to our decision to allow the temporary sales office to operate from there; but the museum also is emerging from that disruption with more space and several important physical improvements. It would...
Council Working Sessions Of Interest
There are several "working sessions" for Council this month. At a "working session" Staff presents background information and/or training to Council on an issue. Council asks questions; there may be discussion between Staff and Council. Staff advises next steps which is often a date as to when a specific recommendation will be made to Council. No decisions are made by Council. Public is welcome...
