Welcome to my blog!  MY primary objective is to alert my constituents and others in King Township about issues being reviewed at the upcoming Council meetings.  I do this as I believe the quality of Council decisions is enhanced when the public is engaged.  I hope that residents will make deputations and/or send emails to Council to express their opinion and/or to ask important questions.  Also, I include notice of meetings and events which I think are particularly important.   I welcome your comments, whether you agree or not with me, and only edit to eliminate inappropriate language.

Budget 2024 at Council

The draft budget and business plan calls for a municipal tax increase of 5.49%.  Proposed budget represents an increase of $2.127 million; 1/3  ($.673 million) is to pay for program changes.  Having reviewed the justifications for the latter I have come round to seeing the value of the changes and in some cases I understand that they are very much needed.  I look forward to the Budget discussion...

Water Bills For Condo Residents

Enrich King Program

The agenda for the Nov. 13 Council meeting shows that there will be a presentation by the Recreation Division of Community Services about the Enrich King Program.   The latter  is a community support program that provides community organizations, businesses, and King residents with direct funding, donations, and in-kind services.
