Welcome to my blog! MY primary objective is to alert my constituents and others in King Township about issues being reviewed at the upcoming Council meetings. I do this as I believe the quality of Council decisions is enhanced when the public is engaged. I hope that residents will make deputations and/or send emails to Council to express their opinion and/or to ask important questions. Also, I include notice of meetings and events which I think are particularly important. I welcome your comments, whether you agree or not with me, and only edit to eliminate inappropriate language.

Canada Day in Kettleby
Its time to celebrate Canada! Come to Kettleby on Saturday, July 1 with friends and family. Bring your own picnic or enjoy the dependable burgers and hot dogs from King City Lions or the now famous "secret recipe" grilled corn on the cob; and of course there is the free birthday cake from Dorio's Bakery. Enjoy the music and the games.

Budget 2024

In addition the report indicates that staff is estimating that the tax levy increase will be between 4% to 5% for 2024. I do have some questions about the identified budget pressures. In another report on the agenda Council is requested to approve the...
