Welcome to my blog!  MY primary objective is to alert my constituents and others in King Township about issues being reviewed at the upcoming Council meetings.  I do this as I believe the quality of Council decisions is enhanced when the public is engaged.  I hope that residents will make deputations and/or send emails to Council to express their opinion and/or to ask important questions.  Also, I include notice of meetings and events which I think are particularly important.   I welcome your comments, whether you agree or not with me, and only edit to eliminate inappropriate language.

The Municipal Election in King is moving into the next phase:  All Candidates Meetings are scheduled and advance voting is beginning. Election Accessibility

  As you would expect all voting locations will be accessible, and entrances will be well marked with the universal access symbol and be within close proximity of the parking lot.  In addition The Township of King is providing an option for homebound voters in any of the Municipal Elections;  if a voter cannot physically visit one of the voting locations they can register to cast their vote...

No Soupfest

As the annual Holland Marsh Soupfest is a much loved annual event it is sad news that it is cancelled for 2022 due to a soup maker shortage.  I am posting this sad news as I know that many had it marked on their calendars.
