After a summer hiatus regular Council meetings are resuming. As it has been awhile I am providing below summary of the September Council meetings.

Tuesday, Sept 6 the there will be a Public Planning Council meeting at 6 pm.  (The Council meetings are usually Monday but due to Labour Day this is on Tuesday.)  Agenda for the meeting is the statutory public meeting for an application for a zoning bylaw amendment concerning a property located at 14290 Concession Rd 10.  Amendment is sought to enable the conversion of a current residence to a farm manager residence and to permit the construction of a second residence.  Here is the official notice for the meeting.  The report will be posted on the web on Aug. 31.   Purpose of public meetings is to hear questions and comments from the public and Council; report is then referred back to Staff to answer questions and complete any outstanding investigations so that final recommendation can be made and presented in future Council meeting,

Monday, September 11 and 25  at 6 pm there will be Council meetings; agenda will be posted Thursday before.

Tuesday September 26 there will be a Special Council Meeting to discuss revisions that may be required to the Official Plan, “Our King,” as part of the Official Plan Review.  The Official Plan Review project will be introduced including identification of  its themes, guiding principles, direction and any revisions that may be required to the Township’s current Official Plan. Here is official notice for the meeting.  Public input is very important.  To facilitate this, speaking@king.ca will used and there will be an Introductory Discussion Paper published there on Sept. 20.

Finally all Council meetings at the Municipal Centre and are hybrid.
