Textile Recycling Agreement

On February 26 Council there is a report about a proposed agreement between Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) and King to implement a Textile Recycling pilot program.  CDA is already partnered with York University to conduct Canada’s first national study on textile diversion.  Given that textiles account for 5-11% of waste in landfill its worthwhile to drive the amount down.  The report reviews how it will become even easier for King residents to dispose of waste textiles.
