LEAF offers a subsidized Backyard Tree Planting Program to help you get the right tree in the right place. For approximately $150 to $220 per tree you will get a site consultation in your yard with an arborist, a five to eight foot tall tree (or two to four feet tall for evergreen trees) and full planting service.

Or, if you want to plant in your front or side yard (or just like to get your hands dirty), try the Do-It-Yourself version of the program. For $100 to $170 per tree, you’ll receive access to online tree care and maintenance video workshops, personalized advice from arborists by email, and a tree delivered right to your door!

Native shrubs and garden kits are also available. The program is available to homeowners and multi-units across York Region.
