Now its time for you to review the Township’s updated Transportation Master Plan (TMP). The TMP will guide long-term transportation planning and infrastructure investment to the year 2051. The TMP supports how the Township plans, manages, and invests in its transportation network over the short, medium, and long term. It considers future growth, road improvements, active transportation, transit, goods movement, traffic safety, and coordination with regional and provincial transportation planning.
Notice of Completion has been given and the formal 30-day public review period began 6/26/26. During this period the public and interested stakeholders have an opportunity to review the final document and submit comments before the TMP process is formally closed. In the Notice there are full details on different methods for providing feedback of the TMP Report.
For the TMP and the full summary of process see here; to find TMP the see the column on right and scroll down to King TMP Report.
As I read it I was very satisfied to read the summaries of the review and consideration of alternatives for the network and ultimately the choice of Scenario 5. I am delighted to see the plans for active transportation throughout the Township. In addition to the details such as a proposed crossing enhancement or a proposed signed route south of King Rd and east of the municipal centre there are sections in the Report which are informative about concepts and methodologies used in developing the Report. Its interesting as it reviews how process has evolved. See section 3.2.
