What A Bargain: subsidized tree planting for you

LEAF offers a subsidized Backyard Tree Planting Program to help you get the right tree in the right place. For approximately $150 to $220 per tree you will get a site consultation in your yard with an arborist, a five to eight foot tall tree (or two to four feet tall for evergreen trees) and full planting service. Signing up for this now is a great idea as fall is a perfect time to plant trees.

Or, if you want to plant in your front or side yard (or just like to get your hands dirty), try the Do-It-Yourself version of the program. For $100 to $170 per tree, you’ll receive access to online tree care and maintenance video workshops, personalized advice from arborists by email, and a tree delivered right to your door!

Native shrubs and garden kits are also available. The program is available to homeowners and multi-units across York Region.  I know several people who have taken advantage of LEAF’s services and they are thrilled.
