At 5 pm on November 24 there is a working session for Council. Public may observe, either in person or virtually, but cannot participate. Subject is “Overview of King’s Citizen Experience Plan.”

This has got to be the strangest working session. “Overview of King’s Citizen Experience Plan” does not allow for citizens to participate. Somehow this seems to me to symbolize what exactly is wrong with all the Open Houses. Meetings are not allowed at Open Houses. Meetings are where the citizens learn more after hearing and reflecting on other people’s concerns.
Hi Nancy, Working sessions are really education type meeting for Council members. There isa Council report in the agenda and for that Council can make deputations and comment. When I wrote the post about the working session I had not yet discovered that there was an agenda item in the Council meeting addressing the matter.
