Township Council approved a net tax levy increase of 2.5% on the Township portion to deliver the operating budget of $44.8 million. Given the average residential assessment of $850,000, the increase on the township portion of the property tax is $158.  As indicated in other posts the capital budget of $34.8 million for 2020 was approved as part of the 4 year capital budget in 2019.  This net levy increase is a little lower than was proposed earlier; the gap of about $150,000 will be covered by funds from the tax stabilization reserve; we did this to provide some relief on the tax burden.  Here is the media release for the budget approval; and more information is available here.
