A New Tradition is Born!

A new tradition in King City started September 5:  King City End of Summer Bash.

I remember Councillor Mortelliti asking me last year what I thought about an Oktoberfest type event in King City.  I recall thinking the concept was great but was less than enthusiastic about another Oktoberfest.  So I was delighted when I learned that the concept had evolved to an “end of summer bash.”   And even though a few decades have passed since I last went through the ritual of returning to school after Labour Day I still remember that ambiguous feeling on Labour Day—excitement and a little anxiety about the next day.  Having an End of Summer Bash on that day seems perfect!

Thank you Councillor Mortelliti for the inspired idea and the drive to make it happen.  King City is lucky to have you!

Hopefully, the 1st one will always be remembered as the coldest one.
