On April 25 Council agenda there is a report summarizing the activities in the Growth Management Services Department. As reviewed in the report GMS is a new department incorporating 4 divisions: building, planning, by law enforcement, economic development.  Its an interesting read; and, it paints the picture of what 26 staff members are doing to serve the community. All 4 departments saw an increase in activity in 2021 as compared to 2020. The report gives specific data about kinds of activity and magnitude of each. A couple weeks ago there was a report about building permits; this particular report incorporates other detail and very importantly reviews a number of important process improvements: including streamlined pool permit application process, self-help application guides and packages and online inspection booking portal. .    If you wish to comment on this recommendation and or make a deputation register at clerks@king.ca by Monday noon hour.
