On April 13 Council agenda there is a report recommending implementation of all -way stop control (AWSC) at the 15th Side Rd./7th concession and Main Street/Doctor Kay Drive in Schomberg. A recommendation to implement AWSC at the 15th/7th concession was presented earlier but was not approved as Council requested more information about the assessment of the impact of the grade on the recommendation. This report includes the assessment of such being acceptable and recommends that the AWSC be installed. In both situations the warrant review indicates that safety would be improved with AWSC.
As always deputations can be made. To do so please register at clerks@king.ca by noon on April 13 or If you prefer you can e-mail your comments to clerks@king.ca and they will be distributed to Council members and appropriate staff.

Yes, I can attest that a four way stop is necessary for safety at the 15th and 7th. With the grades, there is very limited visibility at this intersection. I’m glad to see this happen.
Re: Main & Doctor Kay
Drivers already sometimes behave as if it were an all-way stop, so I think it’s not going to get much pushback from them. Since Main is nice and slow anyway, it is not likely to gridlock, LOL. And a stop might add to the leisurely, smqll- town feel. I am also impressed by how civilized motorists behave in negotiating what space is left by parked cars.
