On Monday April 27 There is a staff report recommending that Council authorize execution of a service agreement between Township of King and the City of Vaughan for the provision of Animal Services effective May 1 2026 for a period of five years. Currently the services of animal control and sheltering are provided by Vaughan through an agreement which expires on May 1. The partnership with Vaughan has been in place since 2011. The proposed agreement maintains the same level of service as currently provided and is for a five year term. The agreement is focused on domestic animal control including dogs, cats an livestock as well as sheltering services. Our service requirements for wildlife will continue to be provided by Toronto Wildlife Centre.

As always deputations can be made. To do so please register at clerks@king.ca by noon on April 27 or If you prefer you can e-mail your comments to clerks@king.ca and they will be distributed to Council members and appropriate staff.
