Nominations for formally recognizing individuals who are making a positive impact on our community are now being accepted. There are several categories of awards. Here is the criteria. For 2019 there has been a modification to the Special Recognition Award: there is a new subcategory which allows for recognition of those who do not live within King Township but are enhancing the quality of our community with their volunteer efforts. I am delighted that this change has been made as I know that there are people who are very active in community groups who do not live in King. Nominations must be submitted by March 15. And…mark on your calendar that we will be celebrating those selected for the awards on Thursday, April 25.
Hurrah. I am so glad that FINALLY the Council has agreed to acknowledge those individuals who happen to live outside our Township but who contribute so much to our Township by the incredible amount of volunteering that they do in our various clubs.
