Appreciation of Volunteers

aThursday May 7th is our annual event to express appreciation to the many volunteers in King Township who contribute so much to quality of life that we have here.  This is also our opportunity to pay special tribute to the handful of people who have been nominated by their community as deserving recognition because of their volunteer efforts.  Finally, it is an excellent venue for learning about  the different groups and organizations active in King; without exaggerating I can say there are at least 50!  So if you are new to King or if you are a long time resident but are looking for a new activity/group, come May 7th and check out the displays assembled by the groups.

This year the event is being held at the Trisan Centre; there is light food &  refreshments, music and lots of time to talk to other King residents.

We want to ensure that we have adequate food but we don’t want to waste, so it would be very much appreciated if you would RSVP to tbarresi@king.ca or 905 833 4029 by 4/24.  You can visit the displays from 6:15-7:15; the celebratory ceremony begins at 7:30
